Who We Serve, and Why

We support education, health services, good nutrition, cultural arts, sport and voluntourism opportunities in underprivileged communities in South Africa. We also work to empower women and strengthen families in these communities.

First and foremost, we recognize the basic worth of every person - that we are all more alike than we are different, and that we all deserve care and support. In other words, it’s the right thing to do. Even in the most extreme, adverse conditions, the support network for every U.S. citizen is considerably stronger than it is in many parts of the world.

Second, stabilizing and enhancing impoverished communities internationally is less expensive, both in dollar and human suffering terms, than waiting and having to deal with the fall-out at some point in the future. We are part of a very interconnected world, and improving viability for communities anywhere strengthens human viability everywhere.

Third, by focusing on improving education,  health services good nutrition, cultural arts, sport and voluntourism opportunities; we are investing in a brighter future for humanity. Working on projects to empower, support, and protect women has direct, measurable impacts on raising whole communities out of poverty.
